Debra A. Wilson
Debra A. Wilson (Director/Producer)Debra A. Wilson made her national debut with her film Butch Mystique, which she wrote and directed. The film has been screened in more than 30 film festivals worldwide and has won Jury and Audience Awards as well as Showtime’s Black Filmmakers Showcase. After receiving a grant from Showtime she directed her next documentary Jumpin’ the Broom: The New Covenant, that premiered on Showtime and Logo’s Real Momentum series. In her role as assistant location manager, she has worked on such projects as MILK, Hereafter, Contagion, 5-Year Engagement, The Master, Fruitvale Station, and HBO’s new series LOOKING. Debra co-produced Tina Mabry’s award-winning feature film Mississippi Damned, which amassed an impressive 11 awards and aired on Showtime. She also produced Crossover, ITVS Futurestates Season 3 episode also directed by Mabry. In 2011 she directed the short documentary Ward 86 that is part of Still Around a feature-length compilation about people living with HIV/AIDS. In 2013, Debra received the Location Team of the Year Award for “Fruitvale Station,” and collaborated with Mabry as producer for ITVS Futurestates Season 5 film ANT, starring Guillermo Diaz from the hit ABC series “Scandal.” Debra holds a B.A. in Television/Film Production from Cal-State University at Northridge.
Henry Mauldin (Producer)Henry Mauldin is one of the principal partners of SMTRG Partners, a talent management company based in Los Angeles. Since forming SMTRG, Henry has forged into Television and Feature Film producing with projects both diverse and rich in spirit. A short list includes: Stand! A documentary chronicling the, 'Selective Buying Campaign,' in Birmingham Al. which sparked the Civil Rights Movement in the early 60's and "Saltwater," an independent feature directed by Award Winning director, Lise Swenson. Prior to SMTRG Partners, Henry served as Director of Talent Development and Recruiting for CNN Networks Worldwide, helping recruit and develop talent as diverse as Anderson Cooper, Erica Hill, Soledad O'Brien, as well as the development of future stars including Thomas Roberts, Brianna Keilar and Brooke Anderson. Henry attended the Academy of Art University majoring in Fine Art Photography and The City College of San Francisco as a broadcasting major. Henry currently sits on the Board of Directors for Global and Social Change Film Festival.
Alexander du Prel
Alexander duPrel (Cinematographer)Alex has over fifteen years of experience as a cinematographer. In 2010, he was nominated for a Golden Frog Award for the feature film Swansong, directed by Conor McDermetroe, and in 2001 he won the German Camera Award for Ist gut jetzt. He has worked on such documentaries as: Still Around and Unter Franken (2010); Ich fang den SchuB mit meinem Gehirn and Making of Speed Racer (2007). Alex graduated for the University of Hamburg in 2000, under the instruction of Michael Ballhaus. Alex’s film Silvi premiered at 2013 Berlin International Film Festival.
